Michael Jackson's new music video for "Hold My Hand" will be to die for ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell TMZ a shoot for the MJ/Akon music video took place yesterday at an airplane hanger in Tustin, CA -- and it involved a whole bunch of extras ... and a very heavenly theme.

We're told the group of extras -- which included a bunch of die-hard MJ fans -- were asked to gather outside the hanger ... and when the giant doors opened, the place was pitch black ... except for one bright light at the end.

Our spies say the extras were then asked to walk towards the light ... symbolizing their journey into heaven.

Should be one hell heck of a music video.

Clip for 'Hold My Hand' has 'heavenly' theme

A video for "Hold My Hand, the first official single from the forthcoming Michael Jackson album, was filmed on Monday and will have a "heavenly" theme, according to TMZ.

The clip was filmed in an airplane hangar in Tustin, California, and involved a number of extras, several of whom were "die-hard MJ fans." The extras were asked walk into the darkened hangar toward a single bright light, which one source said was to symbolize a journey into heaven.

The report did not say whether Akon, Jackson's collaborator on the song, will be involved in the video.

Last week a previously unreleased video for Jackson's 2003 song "One More Chance" was posted on his official website. Michael, a collection of unreleased studio recordings, is slated for release on December 14.

A Michael Jackson impersonator thinks vocals he recorded may have been used on the singer's 'Michael' album.

A Michael Jackson impersonator thinks vocals he recorded may have been used on the singer's 'Michael' album.

Ricky Galliano claims he was paid to copy the singer's style on 21 tracks recorded secretly in a studio in the Swiss city of Lausanne, after the 'King Of Pop's death from acute Propofol intoxication last June.

Members of Michael's family have also voiced concern vocals on the posthumous release are not genuine.

Italian-born Ricky told The Sun newspaper: "They were most insistent that I make my voice sound as much like Michael's as possible - to mimic him exactly."

He explained how he recorded the songs after being approached by a man, whom he thinks was from Bahrain, to record the studio sessions, and paid 2000 Euros per track.

Last week Michael's youngest brother, Randy, said he doubted some of the vocals on the 'Michael' album in a series of posts on twitter, slamming record company Sony and the court appointed executors of Michael's estate, John McClain and John Branca.

He wrote: "McClain went to work putting together the first album. Calling all over the place looking for music with my brother's voice on it, from what I heard, he didn't care about the quality or how complete the vocals were.

"Some of the songs are him, and some aren't. I would be my life on that."

The owner of the studio where Ricky cut the tracks, Mohammed Ben Salah, said he believed they were for a Michael Jackson tribute disc.

Sony have dismissed claims the singing on 'Michael' is not all the star's work, saying they went to "extraordinary lengths" to ensure the vocals are genuine and six of the star's producers and engineers have confirmed it was "definitely" his voice.

Chciałam dziś kupić w Empiku singiel "Hold my hand" i niestety bardzo się rozczarowałam. Na moje pytanie, czy ten singiel posiadają w sprzedaży, pani najpierw około 10 minut grzebała w komputerze, po czym oznajmiła mi, ze nowa płyta będzie miała premierę 13 grudnia i że dopiero wtedy ten singiel trafi do nich do sprzedaży o.O A ja się pytam - co ma piernik do wiatraka? Ja chciałam kupić singiel, który premierę miał 15 listopada, a nie nową płytę, której jeszcze nie ma! Czasem się zastanawiam, czy ja mówię po chińsku czy w jeszcze jakimś innym języku? o.O No co za masakra... ;/ Jeśli oni w takim tempie sprowadzają nowości, to ja im gratuluję i dziękuję bardzo, zamówię sobie na jakiejś internetowej stronie.

The music video for Michael Jackson's song with Akon features dozens of extras ... but only one of them is a pint-sized version of MJ.
TMZ obtained video and photos taken last week from the set of the video for "Hold My Hand." One Jackson fan was featured doing a few of MJ's famous dance moves. You can hear another fan say about the kid, "That there is the opportunity of a lifetime."

As we first reported, a group of MJ fans were recruited to walk into an open airport hangar -- meant to symbolize "walking into the light" (see the pics below).

A source on the set told us the director was telling people the video would air on ABC on December 6.
